Environmentally aware of the impact of fossil fuel in cycling.

Often, I hear the argument, "But, what about the oil that you put on your bike chain?" when talking about how riding bikes for transportation is an act of climate action. We must reduce car trips to meet our climate goals. Transportation is the highest emitting sector for greenhouse gas emissions in the United States. As a car-free bike Dad, I love being able to say that I do NOT use bike chain lube that is hydrocarbon based. Thanks for that tool in my climate action belt!

Eco-friendly chain lube

I feel better about using a plant-based product. I have not noticed any difference in performance over traditional lubricants.

Biodegradable and Great Bike Lube

Works great and is biodegradable. This is soy based versus petroleum. Reducing petroleum pollution - what if every bicyclist and bike shop used biodegradable lube?
