11/30/24: We just sold out of IR WAXERS (again!). We have a new shipment arriving in early January 2025. If you would like to secure your IR Waxer, we encourage you to order it now. The new shipment will likely move fast.

If you were planning to buy the IR Waxer as a holiday gift, we can send you a holiday card letting your loved one know that the IR Waxer is on the way.

2024 Version - We made a bunch of improvements to the IR Waxer this season. More robust bulbs + filaments. Fine tuned the wavelength for improved wax absorption (nerdy but noticeable). Better heat reflector - sends more heat towards the wax and less towards your hand. Now comes with a sweet travel case.

Our patent-pending IR Waxer is a game-changer for at home waxing. It's the tuning tool you never knew you couldn't live without!

  • EFFECTIVE: The IR waxer helps the bases to absorb more wax. You can actually watch the wax disappear into the bases as you are waxing
  • SUSTAINABLE: This device uses very little wax (~90% less wax than the traditional wax iron technique). Plus there is no wax being scraped off the ski and onto your floor
  • EASY TO USE: The IR waxer eliminates the need for scraping. Simply brush out the bases and you're ready to rip!
  • SAVES MONEY: It makes your bar of wax last much longer
  • WORKS ON ALL EQUIPMENT: Great for Alpine, Nordic, + Snowboard.

ALL THE PERFORMANCE. NONE OF THE SCRAPING. Get the performance of a full hot wax, without any of the mess!

PAIRS WELL WITH IR WAXER: Happy Norwegian Tuning Stands, Wax Brush Set, + Hot Wax Set.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Currently the IR Waxer only operates in 110v. If purchasing for use in a country without 110v outlets, you will need a voltage converter to operate the unit.

    Amazing upgrade

I have been tuning and waxing skis for over 50 years. This is truly revolutionary just rub on wax glide infrared heater over till there is a full melt then buff. I haven’t had to scrape yet.

    Great product!

I had the original IR waxer and loved it. When I inadvertently dropped it and broke one of the bulbs, Mountainflow went out of their way to get me a new V2 unit even though the issue was entirely my fault. The new version seems more robust. 5 stars for customer service! I maintain a lot of skis for an active family of 4 skiers, and the waxer has proven really helpful in minimizing the time I spend doing so (not to mention the mess). Really happy with it - highly recommended!

    Best purchase yet!!!

Waxing 10-20 pairs a week for my two boys that race is quite time consuming. Not having to iron and scrape has been a game changer for sure!!

    Cool idea!

First off, I've never waxed my own skis, specifically due to all the tools, wax types, and the mess that comes along with it. Saw this and bought one. The one thing I think it needs is some guides to help hold the light level/parallel to the ski base at the right distance. It can be a bit cumbersome trying to avoid touching anything, and having the weight of the cord hanging off the back while you try to glide it evenly down the ski. I found I had to get fairly close to notice any effect but my garage is a little cooler than room temp. The wax is very hard to see when applied so that took a few tries to figure out if I was doing anything or not. I did end up with a pile of sand size wax dust after using the ski brush after the wax cooled so it's still not something I would use indoors without a drop cloth. Maybe my skis just had too much wax on the base as they are many years old. Overall this is a quick and easy option to touch up skis throughout the season. I did have a little more luck on some newer skis that have never been waxed.

Thanks for the feedback! We are alsways stoked to hear from our customers. There are a couple of things that might be helpful to you ... first, it's ok to get the IR Waxer close to the ski, especially if you are working in a cold environment like a garage. Second, the wax should be easy to see on the ski, especially if you have black bases. You can tell that the wax has melted if you are able to smudge it with your finger. Happy Waxing!

    Makes a dreary Job easier

I don't particularly enjoy waxing my skis and I don't like paying for someone else to do it. So this IR waxer tool was perfect for me. I never mastered the art of melting the wax on my skis in an even manner with a waxing iron. The IR waxer made the whole process simpler, used less wax and resulted in a very even smooth wax layer that buffed out perfectly. It took a few tries to get the hang of how long to apply the heat in an area of the ski and how close to the base to position the heater. But a few careful tries gave me the nag of it.
