Infrared (IR) Waxer

The Infrared Waxer solves a problem that has plagued us forever - the drudgery and mess of waxing a snowboard (or skis if you are one of THOSE people). Simple application and the best part no scraping and no mess (the worst part). This tool is a no brainer, you can bring it with you in your luggage too - I’ve gotten caught on a a sudden powder day having to take my board down to the lodge, wait for it to warm up, pay for a wax…never again!

Used once so far and seem effective and pretty simple

I have sometimes 8 or 9 kids I’m teaching to ski. Storing their gear in my shop. This saves me time and money when tuning. Uses way less wax and works great. No cleanup. Tried and tested season 25/26.

Great product, uses much less wax than ironing and should pay for itself in just over a season in reduced wax cost! My tuning bench stays cleaner without all of the wax scrapings too. In the process of designing a box mount with ski on a roller to pass under the IR waxer. I’ll let you know how that works out.

It is amazing how many pairs of skis can be waxed with bar of wax. It will easily pay for itself. Well worth the price

Works great on skis, saves lot of time and wax

1 board was completely fogged out, the other got some minor scratches from conditions. It took me all of 20 minutes to get both waxed and shining like new. Best investment of the year.

The IR waxer is a pleasure to use for home ski care. No more mess and no fumes. Great glide in the snow. Huge step in from a traditional iron and hot wax.

Just bought the Mountain Flow IR waxer and it’s epic. Absolutely love it. Saves me so much time and the wax really gets deep into the base. I’m using way less wax than before and the skis end up amazing. Super happy with this thing.

Awesome so fast, no mess works exactly like the video. Crayon on wax use IR device, cool then brush. Wish I had this year ago.

Love using the Mountain Flow IR waxer. I use so much less wax, wastes so much less time, and get a better finish on my snowboards!

IR Waxer

We're on-mountain 35-45 times a year and I've gotten in the bad habit of tuning our skis/boards maybe twice a season. From heating up the garage to cleaning up the scraping shavings, I just wasn't a fan... but also too cheap to pay for a tune every other week. I ran across the IR Waxer on IG and was instantly intrigued. The learning curve was next to nothing. Like others have said, a quick pass or two with the IR waxer over your base before you rub your wax is worthwhile. Much easier to apply the wax. A few more passes with the IR waxer and bam... done. No scraping is the biggest benefit. Hated cleaning up the mess.

After a good brush, you're ready to rock. Beautiful finish.

My only feedback is the stiffness of the power cord. I bit rigid at first. Waxing our rip sticks more and loving every second of it.

Easy to use, this way of waxing is so much more efficient and clean than traditional hot waxing.

Love the case it comes in and the handle on the lantern.

Just bought the IR Waxer for our service shop and its been a game changer! We don't have ton of room so this the handheld is perfect for us. Has sped up our tuning services so much!

#1 tip warm up the bases of your skis or snowboard before crayoning the wax.this helps warm up the wax for the waxer .#2 tip before you apply the wax throughly clean the base with a good base cleaner, this will help the wax penetrate the bases better. I had the waxer and used it a couple of times and it worked ok,but it seemed like it wasn't working as efficiently as I thought it should. I did these 2 adjustments, and a good brushing after I was done. We took our skis and snowboard out after I did it this way ,and the difference was really noticeable

I bought the IR waxer because I was tired of paying $10 for a hot wax at my ski shop. My daughter and I ski and snowboard every chance we get. We have season passes at our local resort so we go anywhere from 25 to 40 times in a winter. So paying 10 bucks every 5 to 7 trips out with 2 snowboards,and a pair of skis costs me a small fortune. With this handy dandy tool. Not only saves me$ on going to the ski shop, but also on buying bars of wax, if I was to hot iron it . Its alot less work and mess. Plus once you really get good with it you get a better wax job than than they can do at a ski shop,and chances are they're using IR on your stuff anyways

What a fabulous product. It cuts tuning time in half (at least) because you’re not piling tons of wax on just to then scrape it off. No mess no fuss. I was even able to use it in a rented ski condo because there’s no mess. Skis glide like hot knife in butter! Saves me time and tons of money on multiple ski tunes. I recently bought the rail system for the waxer. It’s worth every penny because it saves my shoulders.

So after a little trial an error got into a flow state! keeps the workshop warm, cost cut on wax and a simply great penetration and saturated base! very welcome in our workshop!

Overall the IR waxer is great and I would recommend it for those who ski very often and hence need to wax more. The price is hard to swallow but if you get your skis waxed often enough the price becomes more justifiable, particularly if you target a sale or utilize their pro deal.

I can’t believe how much this has changed the way I look at waxing skis. No scraping, no dancing with the iron, no mess.

I had a waxing party with 10 people, and we moved through everyone’s skis in less than an hour. Smiles all around!

If I ever have to go back to scraping wax, I’ll cry. This was absolutely amazing! My daughter is a ski racer and she usually spends a couple hours a week waxing skis. We used this for the first time last week and were absolutely blown away. She says she’s going to invite the whole team to our house every week for waxing parties.

This is a time saver without the mess.

I purchased the IR waxer thinking it was a novelty item I could give a respectable shot. Boy was I wrong, it is a very well built unit that gets down to the core( pun intended) of melting the wax. Just skied 3 days in a row on packed and frozen gran. And it seems to be sliding just as good as the 1st day. I won't read until the performance goes away. Can't wait to see how long it goes. Thanks

we have a group of 8 kids that we wax everyday. it great easy the kid does it them self. not a lot of wax use that should save the money for the unit. love it.

Finally no more putting off waxing because of the hassle. It’s taken a couple times to get things dialed, but now that I have it’s a very quick process. I love just brushing and not having to scrape. Uses just a fraction of the amount of wax as traditional ironing.

I like to meet up with friends from different areas and we share airbnbs around different resorts. When you're waxing and the potential for leaving a sticky mess is the possibility of hundreds of dollars in fees, this is the answer. It also greatly reduces your wax usage, so in a few seasons I anticipate this will make up the price difference from a traditional iron provided the IR bulbs don't burn out too fast and aren't terribly expensive.

Pretty awesome tool. I regularly wax my 4 snowboards and this will save me a ton of time and wax. One thing I would recommend is picking up a lazer thermometer so you can monitor base temp for correct melting temps for the wax being used. Then just adjust speed and distance accordingly. I did pickup roto brushes for the brushing step to make life as easy as possible. Overall great product.
