Easy application

I am so thrilled to have discovered mountainFlow eco-wax, quick wax. This time of year, temperatures are changing back and forth and I needed some new wax for my skate skis. After a ton of research I finally found mountainFlow.

I am so thrilled to have a ski wax option that doesn't put forever chemicals into the snow which would flow into the watershed and from there into the locally grown food that I eat.

I had a chance to use the Quick Wax yesterday and the results were better than promised. So quick and easy to apply and great to be able to choose a correct temperature wax for the day. I took the skis out and set a personal record on my standard skate skiing route.

The conditions were not ideal, and I was going cautiously as a result, not really trying to go fast at all, yet I set a new personal best time, shaving four minutes off of my roughly seven mile course!

Great quick wax - easy to apply last all day - 6-7 hours on snow

Skied in Utah end March/april. Late day snow got heavy, just put some wax on and preto

Can is easier to open! However, it’s what’s inside that’s important- easy to use, I use it daily (5days) I do use a base cleaner before applying quick wax, then quick tune and then a hot wax 1 x a week -( Mountain Flo also) depending on type of snow it holds up all day (approx 7 hrs on snow) unfortunately I had to use the red high snow temp and it worked extremely well, for the most part no sticking -

This wax stays in my ski bag so I use it whenever I feel my skis are running slow. Very easy to use and works well. I've used the cool wax in various different temperatures and it has worked great each time.

Wax is easy to apply, has a really nice glide. Has a reasonable life span once applied. It’s plant based, a nice selling point in a market not known for sustainable and an eco friendly culture.

Not much more to say. Oh, wait, it’s plant based. In an industry not well known for sustainability and over all low environmental impact, every small step we take in the ski industry helps.

I've only used the warm wax so far. I originally bought it too keep in my car for warm days, but this spring here in Vermont I've been using it after every outing to keep my edges from rusting. I use very little and buff it across the base with a microfleece cloth and now my skis have a nice slick wax feel all the time. I was going to do a yellow hot-wax soon but I don't want to mess up a good thing.

Works as well as M***G***e in a wide variety of cross country snow conditions.
Only reason for 4 stars versus 5: it's a little challenging to spread, not as soft as the polluting toxic competition.

Tried your Quick wax - Cool on my backcountry skis. Went out for a short tour on hilly terrain through fresh Spring-like snow. I was impressed with the uphill glide (and no sticking on the fish scales!). Downhill, glide was as good as what I would get with my old waxes, especially considering that the snow temp was a bit warmer than the Cool range. Just purchased some of your warmer waxes as well as a bar of Race Wax - Cool that I look forward to trying on my nordic race skis next season. And, being earth-friendly makes it all worthwhile!
Any chance mountainFLOW will be developing a line of kick waxes?

I have applied the wax to a couple pairs of skis. The application is quick and easy and the glide is really nice. Will be buying more.

Quick Wax

This wax works great as a quick and easy maintenance wax. As it says in the instructions, don?t use this right before a tour as you may have issues with your skins sticking. That said, the best off label use of this wax is removing skin glue from your bases! It literally works like a charm! (I?ve only tried with BD glide lite glue) Also, if you?re working on your skins and get some glue on your fingers- try washing it off with soap and struggle or just wipe a bit of this wax on your fingers, watch the instant magic ?? and move on with your day.. literally worth buying this wax just for its ease of removing skin glue but also a great way to keep bases lubed. Not to mention it?s a better wax for the environment.. Wins x 3 = buy it.

This is convenient wax. Make sure as the label says to not use before applying skins as they may not stick well.

Amazing off label use: removing skin glue from bases.

Rub it on as normal and use a cloth to buff off wax, and watch the glue globs let go as well..
I would use this wax regardless, but am elated by this unexpected benefit...

I used this wax on my skis before my recent trip to the mountain. It has an applicator that comes with it. Easy to apply, no special treatment required. This is the first time I have used a ski wax and I have to admit i had one of my best runs after using this wax. Not sure if it had much to do with the wax or my skills getting better, but i will use it again before my ski trips. (From Getcairn.com)

I have not yet used this product but I am excited to try it. I like the way it is packaged and easy to toss into my pack for those days when you need a little wax on those days when the snow is changing in the springtime. Good smell. Excited to lessen my footprint with use of a natural product in the outdoors.

I already used this on my skis - super easy, and something everyone could use. I like that it's eco-friendly. I do wish there was some for warmer temps, since I live in CA and often ski in 30-55 degree weathe

only used the wax once so far, but noticed a drastic increase in speed. There is no iron required as this is a rub on wax. I like that it is made from environmentally friendly ingredients because I want to minimize my impact as much as possible. would highly recommend! (From Backcountry.com)
