FREE WHISKEY! We have partnered with Mythology Distillery (Steamboat, Colorado) to offer a free bottle of their Best Friend Bourbon (Retail Value $52) with the purchase of an IR Waxer. Wax Sophisticated! Limited Time Offer - we only have 100 bottles available.

2024 Version Available Now! We made a bunch of improvements to the IR Waxer this season. More robust bulbs + filaments. Fine tuned the wavelength for improved wax absorption (nerdy but noticeable). Better heat reflector - sends more heat towards the wax and less towards your hand. Now comes with a sweet travel case.

Our patent-pending IR Waxer is a game-changer for at home waxing. It's the tuning tool you never knew you could live without!

  • EFFECTIVE: IR waxers help the bases to absorb wax. You can actually watch the wax disappear into the bases as you are waxing
  • SUSTAINABLE: These devices use very little wax. Plus there is no wax being scraped off the ski and onto your floor
  • EASY TO USE: IR waxers eliminate the need for scraping. Simply brush out the bases and you're ready to rip!
  • SAVES MONEY: They make your bar of wax last much longer

ALL THE PERFORMANCE. NO SCRAPING REQUIRED. Get the performance of a full hot wax, without any of the scraping!

    Next level-buy one.

This is a next level product for ski waxing and is much more affordable than an industrial future waxer. I professionally maintain a fleet of skis and after a full season of use I honestly believe the MountainFlow IR waxer is worthy. It saves real time and money, greatly reduces waste, removes the need to scrape and produces better results than traditional waxing irons. Buy one because it makes your good wax last longer, it reduces the time needed to complete the process and keeps your work space much cleaner.

I have a future product suggestion——I agree with a review below stating that holding the IR waxer above the ski base isn’t hard (not even a little bit) BUT it does require a different set of muscles since you hold the unit up in the air and you don’t “lean” on it as you (sort of) do with an iron. (My comment comes from maintaining 40+ pairs of skis throughout a full season. If I only had a few sets to wax I probably wouldn't mention a thing). I wish MtnFlow would invent a contraption that the IR waxer attaches to and rolls along the length of the tuning table, keeping the distance between the waxer and the ski base constant and removes the need to hold the unit up and hover. Instead you would simply push it left/right along the length of the ski. This device would make the job significantly easier and more accurate when you do a few hundred pairs. This device would almost bridge the entire gap to the automated and expensive Future Waxer that does the passes automatically at the push of a button. This additional product could resemble a mini skateboard-esq device? Please also invent a “simple” motorized push/pull device that attaches to the “skateboard” and makes this an automatic process. It you made a unit that didn’t require any permanent/dedicated work bench space (like the industrial versions) you could change the game, again.

While here, your bike cleaner and dry chain lube products are AWESOME too. They work well in our high desert environment. So stoked to know how well your products work and that they are better for the environment. I’m a fan.

It would have been great if it had been developed 30 years ago. This thing is something every skier should have. It sure makes waxing easier and uses significantly less wax.

Amazingly easy to use. I now wax all my boards and my families and even a few neighbors have asked me to give their boards attention. There is a better way...

I absolutely love this thing. It is faster (but not necessarily easier), it saves wax and it keeps the garage clean (and the wife happy).

Crayoning the wax on is easy but the greater effort is in holding the iron over the board to heat the wax into the base. It isn't a herculean effort but it isn't as easy as running an iron back and forth over the board. What is easier is finishing it after waxing. In my case I finish with a nylon rotobrush which is WAY easier than scraping. It also produces almost no mess on the garage floor which keeps me on my feet instead of my ass when I walk out in my socks after waxing.

Oh yeah, the mountainflow people are awesome to work with as well! Ordering is a breeze and they are highly responsive. What more could you want?
