At mountainFLOW, we’re all about examining old ways of doing things and then seeing if we can do it more sustainably and our innovative recycled aluminum ski poles are no exception. These poles are crafted from 100% recycled aluminum, which drastically reduces energy consumption and waste in the production process, resulting in a 95% smaller carbon footprint when compared to conventional virgin aluminum poles. And that's certainly not their only feature.

Why They're Better Than Ordinary Poles for the Resort: 

Poles are poles. And if the lower carbon footprint wasn't enough to convince you, think about this: since they're made from space-grade 7075 aluminum, they maintain the same durability as a conventional pole. Here's how our resort poles breakdown: 

CORKpros have a 16mm diameter which makes them lighter than most carbon poles on the market with absolutely no compromises on strength. They also come with an up-cycled wine cork grip. Sniffing the bouquet is optional. 

RE.7+ Poles have a slightly larger diameter at 18mm and have rubber grips which makes them absolutely bomber. These will hold up to even the most rigorous of stomps, pole plants, and yard sales. 

Our final resort pole offering is the budget-friendly RE.7. These poles have minimal branding on them and are set at a price point that allows for easily making the transition to being a more environmentally conscious skier. 

Why They're Better Than Ordinary Poles for the Backcountry: 

In addition to three resort pole offerings, we also launched the industry's FIRST recycled aluminum touring pole, the ecoTOUR. Same sustainability story as everything else but these are jam-packed with features for those that like to earn their turns a bit. These features include full metal locking adjustment mechanisms, 18mm upper/16mm lower, padded/removable straps, and lower rubber grips for climbing versatility, clock in at 550g/pair, all while using the same 7075 series aluminum as our other poles.
