Infrared (IR) Waxer

#1 tip warm up the bases of your skis or snowboard before crayoning the wax.this helps warm up the wax for the waxer .#2 tip before you apply the wax throughly clean the base with a good base cleaner, this will help the wax penetrate the bases better. I had the waxer and used it a couple of times and it worked ok,but it seemed like it wasn't working as efficiently as I thought it should. I did these 2 adjustments, and a good brushing after I was done. We took our skis and snowboard out after I did it this way ,and the difference was really noticeable

I bought the IR waxer because I was tired of paying $10 for a hot wax at my ski shop. My daughter and I ski and snowboard every chance we get. We have season passes at our local resort so we go anywhere from 25 to 40 times in a winter. So paying 10 bucks every 5 to 7 trips out with 2 snowboards,and a pair of skis costs me a small fortune. With this handy dandy tool. Not only saves me$ on going to the ski shop, but also on buying bars of wax, if I was to hot iron it . Its alot less work and mess. Plus once you really get good with it you get a better wax job than than they can do at a ski shop,and chances are they're using IR on your stuff anyways

What a fabulous product. It cuts tuning time in half (at least) because you’re not piling tons of wax on just to then scrape it off. No mess no fuss. I was even able to use it in a rented ski condo because there’s no mess. Skis glide like hot knife in butter! Saves me time and tons of money on multiple ski tunes. I recently bought the rail system for the waxer. It’s worth every penny because it saves my shoulders.

So after a little trial an error got into a flow state! keeps the workshop warm, cost cut on wax and a simply great penetration and saturated base! very welcome in our workshop!

Overall the IR waxer is great and I would recommend it for those who ski very often and hence need to wax more. The price is hard to swallow but if you get your skis waxed often enough the price becomes more justifiable, particularly if you target a sale or utilize their pro deal.
